Have you ever left a light on when you walked to another room? Are you guilty of not letting your yellow…mellow? Do you let precious water run down the drain while brushing your teeth? Then you should be afraid.
A new eco-activism program empowers iphone users with the ability to snap photos of offenders and uploads them to a central database, where a community of local eco-nazi’s will mobilize to harass you until you stop watering your lawn.
EcoSnoop is a photo driven “Trouble Ticket” system, letting you identify a problem while leveraging the community to find a fix. The EcoSnoop website is a tool for awareness and understanding efficency. By using the EcoSnoop iPhone application, the user becomes an important link in the chain of many helping to discover and mediate waste (energy, pollution, etc.) in government buildings and our community.
Users locate and report on eco-offenders by submitting pictures and descriptions of blatant abuse and misuse issues.
One could only imagine how history would have been different if the Nazi’s had access to iPhones.
For questions and feedback your can contact the eco-snoop team at: snoop@ecosnoop.com
