Police have arrested eleven members of a right-wing group in the British city of Nottingham during clashes between security forces.

Around 500 protesters from the rightist English Defence League (EDL) launched an angry protest in the midland English city of Nottingham on Saturday, which ended with police intervention.

EDL’s latest demonstration prompted an anti-racist protest by Unite Against Fascism advocates in the English midland city where the consequent violence led to the injury of a policewoman.

The once-minor BNP and other anti-immigrant groups have gained momentum across the country and Europe in recent years amid new waves of anti-Islamic campaigns in the wake of the 9/11 incident and the spread of propaganda since that time.
