Well you are right that social security isn't an investment scheme because its a ponzi scheme.

New entrants pay into the system so that older members can receive benefits. All the while the guys at the very top siphon off funds.

Without a constant influx of new entrants the pyramid will collapse.

"Forcing people into Treasuries as an “annuity” is exactly what Social Security allegedly is."

good job with the passive voice, there! WHO exactly alleges this? Soc Sec is a pay-as-you-go program, not an investment scheme of any sort. That may or may not be good news, but you need a better grip on your basic facts before you start drawing conclusions from them.

"What’s even worse is that the government has intentionally suppressed Treasury yields during this crisis".

really, and how do they coerce buyers into accepting those yields? dictating the yield on your debt as it trades in the secondary market is the financial equivalent of lifting yourself up by the bootstraps, plain mathematical impossibility.
